Crane Operator

Apprenticeship Program​

Training Curriculum:

  • Safety Protocols: Prioritizing safety is paramount in our program. Apprentices learn about safety procedures, risk assessment, and the importance of adherence to safety standards in crane operations.
  • Equipment Familiarization: Apprentices gain hands-on experience with various types of cranes, learning their functionalities, controls, and maintenance protocols.
  • Operational Skills: Practical training involves crane operation techniques, load management, rigging, and mastering different lifting scenarios.

Duration and Progression:

  • The apprenticeship duration typically spans three years, depending on the apprentice’s skill level and the complexity of the training.
  • Progression through the program is a combination of hours accumulated to meet set milestones, technical training and evaluations to ensure apprentices are equipped with the necessary skills at each stage.

Heavy Equipment Technician

Apprenticeship Program​

Duration and Progression:

  • The heavy equipment technician apprenticeship typically takes four years and may vary in duration based on the complexity of the training and the apprentice’s progress.

Boom Truck Operator

  • The apprenticeship program for Boom Truck Operators spans several months to two years depending on the province. This allows apprentices to advance through stages of training and skill development.
